Finalized/ Edited the symbol

After I showing my global warming symbol to tutor or teacher during the tutorial class, she had gave some ideas to improve further for my symbol and corrected my mistakes on my symbol. Thus, here is the improved symbol.
I removed the words i put on the symbol as it shouldn't have words for symbol.
I changed the brush of the lines of the eye as the tutor recommend me to use formal kind of lines. She also asked me to add a "punch" on the black circles as I wasn't really clear of what she trying to tell but after she showed an example like adding another white shape on top of the black circle. But I changed her idea a bit by using the flare tool and place a flare on the middle of the black circle instead of placing any shape on top of it.

As the symbol changed slightly, the concept/meanings of the symbol were also changed a bit.
The concept of the symbol is still the same, which is to ask the audience or viewers have they realize how dangerous/strong can the hurricane be that caused by the global warming which is happening right in front of our eyes. But we still not too late to reduce the strength of hurricane in order to reduce the damages on everything on the earth include us as there is still a slight hope if we realize now and start to take action now.

The shape of the eye represent the sight/view of people who see the danger/ bad effects caused by global warming.

The spiral lines that spiraling towards the center or the black circle inside the outlines of the shape of an eye represent the hurricane which is the topic that i focus on hurricane which can be strengthen by the global warming ( more info> link)

The black circle in the middle means the end of certain areas as hurricanes getting stronger and destroy all the things in the town will occurs in future as the effect of the global warming IF no people taking any actions to reduce the strength of the hurricane and stops the global warming happening.
In the black circle, there's a small light sparkling showing that there's still a hope for us to reduce the damage to the smallest by reducing the global warming.

The chimneys of factories with chemical gases coming out from the chimneys were drawn upside down represents the tears and also blood showing the fears of the people towards the danger of hurricane strengthen by global warming as the stronger is the hurricane, the more lives of living things were killed by the hurricane. Thus, I painted the chimneys red represent the lives of living things killed by the hurricane.
The chimneys of the factories also represent that the harmful gases produced by us as we built and invented them such as is causing global warming, showing that global warming is caused by human, its our fault.Thus, we are responsible to reduce the effects of global warming.

Colours Meanings
Red :
the strength, the danger or power of the global warming that effects us and the earth, heat of the global warming is increasing seriously as the red colour slowly getting darker, the blood/ lives of the living things such as humans.

White:
The safety of the earth and all the living things, the colour of the hurricane

Grey:
The shading of the hurricane, the sadness of the humans and other living things as the global warming endanger our lives and causing a lot of damages such as hurricane destroys our homes, facilities, etc.

Black:
The power of global warming showing how strong/scary can it effects our earth and how serious is the effects of the global warming happening now.

Process and explanations

well this will be the symbol that I going to draw using adobe illustrator CS 3.
Below are the process of the making of the symbol..

First, I drew a circle by using Ellipse tool and used pen tool to drew the outline of half shape of the eye

Then, I chose the charcoal brush type to the outline of the symbol as I don't want it look too formal

I copied the outline of half shape of the eye i drew using pen tool and pasted and flipped horizontally and flipped vertically by selecting the two pasted copied lines and right click the lines and clicked "Transform" and click "refletion"

then I used scissors tool to cut the lines shorter

After that, I used scissors tool again to cut some part of the circle.

I also changed the line of the circle into charcoal brush line.

I made the two guidelines to mark the center of the symbol and drew a circle there.

I turned the lines into oval brush type and used pen tool again and drew few more lines

I used paint bucket to paint black as same as the symbol I design on rough paper, then I make a new later and copy the same outlines and paste on the new layer

I named the first layer as "background" and the second layer named " Outline" layer. Then I changed the outline of the first layer into white colour and copied the lines spiralling/rotating into the black circle and changed brush type in "watercolour stroke 5" to have the effects that look like hurricane.

then I drew 5 chimney and used gradient tool to paint it

My symbol of global warming is to warn us, people to be aware the effect of harmful gases produced by us through factories which built by us, that will cause the temperature increasing and lead to increasing precipitation. Kerry Emanuel writes that hurricane power dissipation is highly correlated with temperature, reflecting global warming.However, a further study by Emanuel using current model output has concluded that the increase in power dissipation in recent decades cannot be completely attributed to global warming. As you can see, the symbol have the shape of an eye and also is a hurricane symbol rotating. What I trying to tell from this is, the effects of global warming is causing the earth getting worse and its happening in front of us. If we don't try to take action to stop this, we will come to an end of the world. At that time, its too late for us to regret with tears. From there, that is how i get the idea of drawing chimneys upside down below the eye which represent/look like the tears and also the blood which means the sorrow/ regret of us in future as we don't try to take action to protect the earth. Blood represent the lives of humans which means there will be huge number of people get hurt or die because of the hurricane which strengthen by global warming.

Final sketch of my symbol

I have decide to use the eye symbol idea to be my final symbol since I think that devil symbol design seems to be too generic. Here is a sketch of my symbol.

I chose the right one to be my final symbol which the middle represent the eye and also the hurricane and the gases produced from the chimneys of the factory which flipped upside down represent the tear/s rolling out from eye to shows the horror/danger of the human's act polluting the air that will fear us or scare us to tears and regret if we dun start to protect our environment, our earth now before its too late... above the eye writing " Have you realize the danger?"

Rough Sketches of symbol designs

I just did some rough sketches of the global warming awareness symbols, but I'm not sure to choose which one to be the one for assignment yet because there's none of the symbols i really satisfy yet.
I planning to focus the natural disasters as the effect of global warming to be small area of global warming, I wondering whether is "natural disaster" is too broad? or I should choose one of the natural disasters to be more specific of the concept of my symbol.
I still very blur or confused about choosing which effects to be my main concept of my symbol.. @_@"

I like the devil symbol

I think this eyed shape symbol's idea is too broad as I put hurricane and tsunami as the examples of the natural disaster caused by global warming together in one symbol, izzit ok? or i should be more specific?
